For my overseas entourage, I needed to get their body measurements for their Barong Tagalog. I decided to take a video of Mang Rey Casedo (from Lumban, Quezon) teaching me how to take correct measurements. This video features Mang Rey and his assistant. It will help many overseas couples on how to get their body measurements.

CHURCH
Santuario de San Antonio - At first I didn't like the exterior of the church. It was too modern for my taste. The best Church I could only think of before that was the Manila Cathedral. I liked the spanish style of that church, but when I was about to book the church after I went to Shangri-la Makati it took me one hour to get there because of traffic. I couldn't imagine myself on my wedding day travelling far and experiencing that kind of traffic. It was a big NO NO for me! So when we were in the Manila Cathedral I stayed there for 5 minutes and made a big decision to book Santuario de San Antonio instead of Manila Cathedral. I think I didn't make a mistake in choosing this church. I fell in love with the interior of the church. I was quite hesitant to book the church because I didn't want to visit their office because from what I heard Ms. Susan (church coordinator) is a little terror? snob? lolz. waaaah! At that time I really didn't know what to do but I need to conquer my fear! lol. Then I met the popular Ms. Susan. Woah, I didn't experience any negative feedbacks from her. She was approachable and willing to give her smile to me. HALLELUHIAH!

wedding suppliers
Choosing a right supplier is the hardest thing that a couple will encounter. Actually, in my case I am not only choosing a right supplier, but I should feel that "IT IS THE ONE!" I booked some of the major suppliers already. Sometimes I would think if I made the right decision. I would weigh all things such as the pros and cons, the vibes and rapport , the budget and the signs. Sample of signs? It was like you fell in love for the first time, the heartbeat, sleepless nights, the joy and you could feel that you knew that supplier for a long time but that truth is that it was the first time (like a soul mate huh, lol). I felt that way with my two suppliers, my videographer (REALITYTV) and my wedding gown designer JOEL ESCOBER. In choosing suppliers I always consider the feed backs of my co-w@wies. They've been there for me through my stressful times and the joyful moments when I was starting to plan my wedding. I searched all the recommended suppliers from w@w from the TOP supplier up to the most negative feedbacks. I wish I could get the best videographers like Jason Magbanua, Bob Nicholas, Threelogy, Mayad but woah they were over my budget. Then I was down to two suppliers, Phoebe Tecson and Buddy of Reality TV. Phoebe is popular in W@W. He is affordable and has a special package for W@W members. He was giving away a really good deal. Then on the other side I was talking to Buddy and he was nice too. He was giving me a much cheaper deal as compared to Phoebe, but Phoebe is a top supplier from W@W. Alot of brides can give good testimonials on that. Phoebe is such a genius in his works. I even asked the opinion of my photographer Atty. Raymond Fortun who he thinks is better. He said Phoebe is one of the top suppliers in W@W and he didn't know much about Buddy of RealityTV. Wow! another point for Phoebe cause my photographer recommended him. I didn't know what was stopping me from getting him. I always trust my instinct and if I feel something isn't right then I would try to find out what it is. I tried to find my answer through the help of youtube and vimeo. And yeah right! thank God I found the answer! I found this video http://vimeo.com/5057588 many months ago before I had plans to get married, and I really admired the artistic style of the videographer who made that video and I was surprised to find out that the videographer is no other than Buddy of RealityTV. Woah! That minute I chatted with Buddy and told him that I would get him. No more doubts about that. :-)
The harderst thing that I encountered in wedding preparation is choosing a wedding gown designer. I even had a consultation with "mananahi" cause I didn't want to spend much for a wedding gown. I also visited 5 popular wedding gown designers and of course as recommended again by my sisses in W@W. The first shop of the designer I visited is the shop of Edward Teng who is a popular designer of showbiz personalities. His gowns were really stunning and elegant but cheaper than any other designer too! My problem why I didnt get him? I couldn't carry his gown, lol. I want my Big Day to be me! and not a walking robot, lol! The second designer I visited was Niko for Veluz. Ohh he is such a darling! I can't say anything negative . Ok lets skip niko and go to Carmen Lazaro. I saw her work in Megamall. OMG! what an elegant gown! I fell in love with her design and I called Vhon to schedule an appointment for me with Carmen the next day. Carmen and her assistant made a sketch for me. My gosh it is a really fabulous gown and the price? What the heck it is so cheap! My smile was so big when I got back to my car. I didn't know what was happening to me but they were are all so good! It was just a matter of choosing who will design my gown. Then i told myself, ok I will consult with Cecilio Abad and after him I will make a decision. I need to make decision because I'm running out of time. Then it was Cecilio's turn. He made a sketch and it was simple but elegant. I found all the embellishments perfect. They were in the right position and right material too! Perfect! I will get him. I wanted to get him! But i also consider a good rapport with me and the designer :-( and i think weren't meant to work with each other. I know Cecil is the nicesttttt designer you will know (that's according to my W@W sisses, and I believed all of them). Maybe Cecil and I have no sparks with each other. At least I realized that he deserves to be the #1 Top Supplier of the Year. He is a master of his Craft! After Cecilio, I had trouble deciding who I will get now. Ahhhhh It is the hardesttttttt and toughesttt decision I need to make. And now, I will introduce to you my soon to be fairy god mother, JOEL ESCOBER! I saw his work through the Wedding Essential magazine and then I realized I was starting to type his name in W@W search and I didn't find much about him in my research. Maybe because he is a fashion designer and not really popular as a bridal gown designer. Only one w@wie sis had the guts to get him and yeah she made a right decision on that! hehe. I want to know him better that's why I want to see him by myself. I texted him and asked for his available schedule. On the day I met him, I didn't realize that Las Pinas was so far from the city of Manila, lol. Ok, my first impression with Joel? hmmm.. I just noticed he always used "po." He is very nice, polite, and finesse, lol. After the consultation he gave me a copy of new Wedding Essential. I didn't want to accept it cause I didn't know if I was getting him or else I would have had to give it back to him. I didn't know how to tell it to him though so I just accepted the magazine, hehehe. After that he assisted me outside and opened the car door for me. Woah! I was thinking God don't make him too good to me cause I still need to decide if I will get him, lol. When I got home I did more research about Joel and then I found a bride who had the most fabulous gown I had ever seen! I was even teary eyed at that time because I knew that I was done searching for the gown designer. I shared my happiness to Eric and he told me that was the first time he saw how happy I when it came to planning for the wedding. I told him he should thank Joel for that, hehehe.
